Mechanical technician at a minimum needs to be capable of the following...
-Read mechanical assembly drawings to assemble details of machine units including static accuracy (Parallelism, Centering, Proper torque setting, etc.) of automated machinery and equipment
-Able to read pneumatic drawings to complete machine piping.
-Use of basic hand tools - Hand drill, drilling, taping, reaming, deburring etc.
-Able to use and understand metric dimensioning.
-Able to use precise measuring tools.
